The Sunflower Award recognizes and celebrates the extraordinary work of staff from all disciplines who help patients and family members during their healthcare visit. Recipients are nominated by their colleagues, patients, patient families, and physician partners.

This Carson Tahoe Health employee demonstrates care and compassion, and is an outstanding role model who upholds our organization’s mission of enhancing the health and well-being of the communities we serve. The individual keeping DEI standards in mind consistently meets all of the following criteria:

Consistently demonstrates operational priorities including: safety, kindness, compassion, expertise competency, and efficiency.
Personalizing the healthcare experience for each patient.
Improving the work experience (with good interpersonal skills, through a project, is a team player).
Always treating patients, families and, coworkers with kindness, concern, and dignity.
Participation in exemplary community service.
