In July 2019, we dedicated a new Second Floor Terrace Garden at the RMC in honor of Ed Epperson, our recently retired and long-time CEO.

Keeping with our charitable mission as a not-for-profit health system, Carson Tahoe Health conducts a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) every three years.

2019 marked the start of the first major renovations and expansions to the Carson Tahoe Medical Center campus since it opened in 2005.

Carson Tahoe recognized the vital need of providing services and programs for mental health illnesses and opened Behavioral Health Services (BHS) in 1989 and we have been providing inpatient and outpatient mental health care to the community ever since.
