Kim C., Vascular Surgery Patient

Kim and her husband Joe love hitting the highway. But she recently experience a unexpected detour of her daily activities. During a minor medical procedure, Kim discovered she had major artery blockage in her pelvis that needed immediate attention. At only 44 years old, the 75% blockage threatened to take away the use of her legs. She knew she had to choose the correct road to recovery.

Kim was rushed into surgery, and she had a Bifemoral Aortic Bypass. Thanks to Dr. Halow and the expertise and care of Carson Tahoe’s vascular surgery team, Kim was able to avoid leg amputation and the possibility of being in a wheelchair the rest of her life.

She now feels great and is back to getting the most out of life. She has full use of her legs and can answer the call of the open road.
