Unfortunate accidents and illnesses will happen to each of us sometime in our lives. Luckily, Carson Tahoe’s staff of board certified emergency physicians and experienced nurses ensure the best emergency care is not far away. The Carson Tahoe Regional Medical has an expanded emergency department with 18 bays to care for patients 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The facility has an additional six “minor care” Fast Track ER rooms designated for less serious illnesses and injuries.
An advanced triage and FastTrack ER system and bedside registration further expedites patient care. Once admitted, patients are cared for in one of 18 ER bays which are surrounded by a centralized nursing station. This enables the most efficient monitoring and attentive care possible. The emergency department is located directly below a rooftop helipad, allowing for the quick transport of patients throughout rural Nevada, Tahoe, and several parts of California.
The Emergency Department features a large, comfortable waiting area for family members and friends. There are also separate waiting areas within the emergency care area, depending on the patient’s needs and circumstances.
